Priorities

Create a map for your finances

We built Fountain to support the principles you'll find in r/personalfinance posts and Bogleheads forums:

  • Build an emergency fund
  • Pay off high interest debt
  • Invest in your future

It lets you put your financial goals in a single priority stack—from the cash you need on hand through tax-advantaged accounts and long-term investments. Fountain reads your real balances across every institution so you can plainly see where your next surplus dollar could go.

Net worth

Size up your assets and liabilities

You need more than one number to understand your net worth. Fountain shows you how your assets and liabilities contribute so you get a complete picture. And it's all in a single view—no more logging into five banking apps just to answer one question.

Portfolio

Keep your portfolio on target across accounts

If you have multiple accounts across different institutions, balancing your portfolio is a pain. Fountain consolidates all your accounts so you can easily see when opportunities to buy or sell arrive. And if you want to add to your investments, Fountain can tell you how much to buy of each asset class so you stay on track.

FAQ

Have questions?

Can Fountain move my money?

No. Fountain is strictly read-only. It can see your balances and holdings so it can surface relevant tips, but every transfer and contribution is something you do yourself, in your own bank’s app.

How does Fountain connect to my accounts?

Through Plaid, the same secure service that powers many of the financial apps you already use. Your bank login credentials are never seen or stored by Fountain.

How does Fountain make money?

Subscriptions and only subscriptions. No ads, no selling data, no paid placement from banks or brokerages.

Is this financial advice?

No. Fountain is an educational and organizational tool built on widely accepted best practices. It isn't a financial or investment advisor, and it helps you follow the goals and priorities you set.

What accounts does it support?

Checking, savings, IRA, 401(k), HSA, 529, brokerage, and more — anything Plaid can connect to. Fountain is iOS-only for now.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Everything is encrypted in transit, and your data is isolated to your account.
